We as humans often search for a greater world to inhabit for lengths of our lives. Whether this becomes the worlds created for Hollywood cinema or the video games we explore; we are interested in being transported into another world to experience for varying lengths of time. My practice is centred around our desires for escapism and the appeal of another existence contrary to our own. It routes itself from my appreciation of video games and art, therefore transforming into a hybrid of both.
I create my own virtual worlds, often within preexisting game platforms; modifying them and investigating the role of exploration and discovery whilst inhabiting these landscapes.
I establish large immersive installations that engulf extensive spaces, transporting participants into a world that reflects the line between real and virtual spaces.
