Liverpool Waters development begins construction on Liverpool's waterfront
Peel Land and Property’s development Liverpool Waters is currently in the process of being developed and the area will provide the waterfront with 9,000 new homes, Everton’s new football stadium, a ferry and cruise liner terminal and more.
The Isle of Man ferry terminal works are finally underway after the Isle of Man chief minister Howard Quayle and Deputy Liverpool Mayor Cllr Lynnie Hinnigan attended a groundbreaking event in January. Prior to this the completion date had been repeatedly delayed, with it now expected to be completed by July 2021.
The Liverpool Waters development will also contain a proposed city centre family park which will span 10 acres and will be a 5-minute walk from the site of Everton’s new football stadium. The whole area is on the waterfront of Liverpool and will provide views out over the Mersey, as will most buildings on the development site.
Standing adjacent to the new Liverpool Waters site is the renowned Alexandra Tower, situated next to the world-famous Pier Head on Liverpool’s UNESCO listed waterfront. Built-in 2008, the development offers the rare opportunity of a tranquil waterfront setting within the city centre of Liverpool and will be a stone throw away from the newly proposed Isle of Man ferry terminal. Looming over the new ferry terminal with floor to ceiling windows, Alexandra Tower provides on-site amenities such as secure indoor parking, a 24-hour concierge and waterfront views, as well as bus and Merseyrail links.
